    Soma Ariyaka

    Soma is a highly experienced business improvement consultant with broad expertise in such areas as strategic alignment, teambuilding, Lean Six Sigma deployment and change execution methods including Lean and DMAIC.

    Soma is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt from Delphi Automotive, where he began his career in Process Engineering. His last appointment at Delphi was Plant Deployment Champion and Regional Black Belt for Production Control and Logistics.  In his role, he was actively involved in conducting Lean Six Sigma training and has coached and mentored over 50 projects in various business processes from HR, finance, engineering, manufacturing, logistics and warehousing. He subsequently moved to Perfetti Van Melle, where he initiated and led the Six Sigma and Lean Implementation effort.

    Based in Jakarta, Soma today is lead consultant for Pivotal's engagements in Indonesia with such clients as adidas and BNI (3rd largest bank in Indonesia).  He also works with other clients in Asia and the Middle East including Gulf Bank (Kuwait) and Cisco Systems.  He is fluent in English and Bahasa (Indonesia).

    Soma graduated with First Class honors as a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering from The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia. He also holds a Master Degree in Information Technology from The Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia.

    Thomas Chew

    Thomas is a Senior Consultant who has been practicing and implementing Lean Six Sigma for nearly a decade. He has trained, coached and mentored over 100 project teams around Asia. An effective change agent for successful implementation, he has trained Green Belts, Black Belts and Lean Experts.

    He was initially trained in Japan by Shingijutsu Co. Ltd and understudied various Japanese consultants in Lean and process change methods. Later, he was certified as a Lean Master in the US by Honeywell.  His further expertise in DMAIC and analytical methods and experience in various industries give him the rare ability to support a wide range of business challenges, with both training and results-focused consulting.

    Thomas is based in Singapore and has worked with many key clients in the Asia region—including ST Kinetics Group, Honeywell, GE Lighting, OCBC Bank, Ingram Micro, The Commercial Affairs Department of Singapore, Carlson Wagonlit, Bossard, Bank Negara Indonesia and Cisco Systems. 

    Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of London.

    Sachin Grover

    Sachin is an experienced Six Sigma consultant and trainer based in India. With an ability to work effectively across organisations, he has worked with senior management teams and project teams and has coached many successful process improvement projects in companies like Coca Cola, Prakash Industries, Mansura for Resins & Chemical Industries, Egypt  

    He is also a visiting faculty at Amity University, the largest Business School in India providing training to Masters in Business Administration (MBA) students.
    Sachin holds a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Qualified Lead Auditor of Quality Management System & Environment Management System and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

    Navee Khemkhon

    Navee is a certified Six Sigma instructor with a diverse range of experience, including Change Acceleration and Work Out.

    Navee started a career in Sales and Marketing at Siam Clement Group, Thailand's largest conglomerate. Here he helped establish the Financial Advisory Services Division and worked as a financial consultant for four years. He led various financing projects in Indochina, which included the power plant in Lao PDR, cement plant in Vietnam, Hotels in Haiphong and Myanmar, and several debt restructuring deals in Thailand.

    In 1997 Navee joined GE Thailand as their Business Development Manager. He quickly took on new responsibilities and roles, including Six Sigma Black Belt, Product Commercialization Leader and Supply Chain Management Leader. He was part of a project team that successfully built and launched a manufacturing plant in a record-breaking time of 12 months. It was considered one of the most successful projects for GE.

    Navee holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from Chulalongkorn University and an MBA from Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration, a joint program of Wharton, Kellogg and Chulalongkorn University.

    Justin Lee

     

    Justin is an experienced Six Sigma consultant and trainer based in Shanghai, China. He brings a wealth of experience in manufacturing, quality and engineering, having held senior management positions as Quality Manager, Technology Leader, Operation Director and Master Black Belt.

    While at GE Lighting, Justin completed high-impact projects that generated above $10 million in annual savings in gas tubing and FTL.

    Currently, Justin is heavily involved in coaching project teams and training Black Belts and Green Belts in various parts of Asia. He has coached over 50 projects in the past two years and has successfully trained over 500 Green Belts and Black Belts. He also mentored Black Belts and management teams in project selection and project review.

    Justin is highly proficient in both English and Mandarin. He graduated from China Textile University with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Justin is also a graduate of GE's prestigious Technical Leadership Program.

    Jackie Lim

    Jackie is a certified and seasoned Six Sigma Practitioner, having been involved in the Six Sigma initiatives with GE and Sun Microsystems for seven years.

    While at GE, Jackie's roles included regional Six Sigma Black Belt covering Asia in such areas as Global Sales Operation, Supply Chain Management and Customer Advocacy. Here she has trained and coached in over 60 Green Belt projects.

    Jackie's other accomplishments include implementing through Design for Six Sigma methodology, a digitized real time auction tools and facilities that created significant cost savings on materials deflation for GE. She was also instrumental in incorporating Six Sigma rigor into eBusiness processes – from establishing a business model, to web application development, and finally, to marketing and fulfillment over the web.

    Jackie is well versed in English and Bahasa Malay. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours Second Upper) graduating in Dean's List of Honours. She also graduated from GE's prestigious Financial Management Program (FMP).

    Takahiro Kurata

    Takahiro is a skilled Master Black Belt located in Tokyo, Japan.

    With a background in electrical and computer engineering, Takahiro possesses 15 years of microprocessor experience ranging from architecture to circuit design. Working for the Sony Corporation in Tokyo, Japan, as Senior SOC (System on Chip) Analyst, he was responsible for the logic design of the R4000 processor. His work on the development and testing of the processor resulted in two US patents. Because of his extensive knowledge and expertise he was called to conduct courses within Sony where he lectured on system LSI design. This later led to a career in Six Sigma as a trainer where he was able to apply the methodology to the company's microprocessor design engineering.

    Within Sony, Takahiro eventually became a Six Sigma Senior Trainer – the equivalent of Master Black Belt – where he coached over 300 projects in the R&D area. From scratch, he developed Sony's original DFSS curriculum and trained numerous Black Belts, Green Belts and Champions. His efforts were later recognized with the President Award from Sony LSI Design for his contributions as a Black Belt Trainer.

    Takahiro holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Ohio University.

    Ng Yeow Meng

    Ng Yeow Meng is a consultant with global and cross-functional experience in information management, software development and web technology services.

    He spent more than five years in General Electric before leaving to become an independent consultant in web technology services and e-business implementations.

    While with GE, Yeow Meng graduated from the prestigious Information Management Leadership Program and has worked in technology and project leadership roles in various GE businesses spanning GE Aircraft Engines (USA), GE Medical Systems, GE Power Systems and GE Corporate leading initiatives spanning Asia, USA and Europe. Beyond technology leadership roles, he also worked as a Six Sigma Black Belt in both Human Resources and Field Services, conducting Six Sigma Green Belt classes. Prior to GE, Yeow Meng's work included stints with Federal Express developing and researching software projects as well as sales and operations experience with outbound travel operations and a market research firm.

    Yeow Meng graduated with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (Honours) from The National University of Singapore.

    Praveen K. Pasricha

    Praveen leads Pivotal Resources’ representation in the Indian Subcontinent. He is a Certified Master Black Belt with over 10 years of training and consulting experience on deploying Six Sigma Methodologies.

    Praveen’s exceptional consulting skills have helped many major organizations in India, Mauritius, Thailand, Egypt, and Sri Lanka achieve substantial business improvements. Throughout his career, he has developed curricula and taught process improvements, problem solving methodologies, system development and deployment including Operators, Engineers and Senior Management Personnel. He has trained & developed more than 200 Black Belts & 500 Green Belts. He has also led Quality Improvement Initiatives for a variety of industries such as Automotive, Engineering, Process, Marketing, IT and ITES.

    Praveen holds a B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with a Post Graduat degree in Business Management. He is amongst the first five Indians registered as Lead Auditors with IRCA, UK for Quality Management System. He is also an Assessor of the Indian National Quality Award (CII-EXIM Award-based on EFQM Model).

    Satish M. Tewari

    Satish is a highly experienced business improvement consultant having more than 30 years experience. and is a certified Black Belt. 

    He has trained, coached and mentored over 100 organizations in India and  overseas on Lean Six Sigma, ISO/TS16949,  Process Improvement, International Quality Rating System (IQRS®), System Deployment, Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)  and Disciplined Problem Solving Methodologies and is high-rated faculty in the field. He has provided consultancy to various Automobile companies in India including Hero Honda, & Suzuki India Ltd (Maruti).

    Satish holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical  Engineering He is a Lead Auditor registered with IRCA, UK and an approved tutor for IRCA and NRBPT courses. He is also a Lead Auditor of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and IERS®.

    Surendra P. Tiwari

    Surendra is a Senior Consultant who has been practicing and implementing Lean Six Sigma for nearly a decade. He is a Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.

    His diverse range of consulting and training experience includes providing public courses and in-house training in India and overseas with over 350 organizations in various industries such as automotive, engineering, process, IT, and the service sector.

    He has trained and coached over 300 Black Belts, 600 Green Belts and 100 Champions in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

    Prior to becoming a consultant, Surendra worked for 15 years in engineering and automotive industries where he executed, led and drove many Business Excellence initiatives through the application of various management systems such as TQM, TPM and statistical tools and techniques.

    Surendra holds a Masters Degree in Sciences, Masters in Business Administration, a Post Graduate in Computer Applications and a Post Graduate degree in Statistical methods and Applications (SQC & OR) from the Indian Statistical Institute. He is also a Qualified Lead Auditor for Quality Management System and approved assessor for EFQM model.

    Jovi Tong

    Jovi Tong is based in Shanghai, China. She offers Six Sigma training and consulting ranging from manufacturing to services.

    Jovi started her career in GE's prestigeious Technical Leadership Program as a New Product Engineer at GE Lighting. She subsequently moved into a manufacturing Black Belt function upon graduating from the program.

    As a Manufacturing Black Belt, Jovi coached and mentored Green Belts in their projects. She led Black Belt projects that successfully helped the company reduce cost of over-production and poor quality.

    As a Commercial Black Belt for GE Plastics, her responsibility was to set up salesforce effectiveness strategies for major customers with the Sales and Marketing Department. Through her involvement in understanding the voice of customers, she initiated projects either internally or at the customers' site that led to higher customer satisfaction.

    Jovi then moved to GE Lighting Technology Center as Global Sourcing Manager. This job provided her with the experience in supplier qualification, relationship and management.

    Jovi is highly proficient in Mandarin and English. She is a graduate from the Shanghai Jiaotong University with a Bachelor of Science in Polymer Science and Technology.

    Kalyan V

    Kalyan is a Certified Master Black Belt with a broad experience in operations, supply chain and capability development across strategic process streams.  He is driving many “excellence” projects in Asia (Singapore, India, Thailand, Japan, China, Australia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia) across Customer-Care, Sales, Marketing, IT, Finance and Operations Departments. He recently helped the BP Lubricants Division in Asia Pacific deploy their Lean Six Sigma efforts and their Green Belt Certification process.

    Kalyan is based in Singapore but started his career as an Industrial Engineer in India where he quickly focused on ISO 9000 processes and outsourcing efforts to continually improve efficiency among vendors. As a Process Leader for GE he was trained in the US to establish processes in line with GE standards and technologies. Later on he moved to the GE Aircraft Engines division where as a Regional Manager he led cross-functional process improvements projects resulting in impressive savings and faster turn times for customers. He also led Change Management projects at Qantas and facilitated Kaizen events to eliminate “wastes” in the repair process cycles.  While working for GE Medical Systems in South East Asia, he worked on E-auctions and the company's website and launched supplier Extranet and web based ePO solutions for Asia suppliers.

    As a Master Black Belt he developed the Asia Six Sigma team with global processes and led 50 DMAIC & DFSS projects.

    Kalyan holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the College of Engineering Guindy in Madras, India and a MBA from the Rutgers Business School in the US.

    Yoong Fook Loy

    Fook Loy represents Pivotal Resources in South East Asia with over eight years of in-depth training and hands-on deployment of Six Sigma Methodologies.

    With nearly 11 years at General Electric, Fook Loy began at GE Aircraft Engines before moving to GE Plastics working as the Training and Development Manager for South East Asia. He then moved to GE Corporate for a position as the Corporate Leadership Program Manger for Asia, overseeing talent development in numerous programs. Here, he was involved in training, mentoring and coaching leaders in their Six Sigma projects.

    Fook Loy continues to support GE as an external consultant, delivering leadership sessions such as Change Acceleration Process, Facilitative Leadership Skills Workshop, Six Sigma Green Belt DMAIC Workshop, Coaching Skills, Project Management and Teambuilding. Fook Loy has also worked with other companies such as Asia Pacific Breweries (S) Pte. Ltd, Cambodia Brewery Ltd, Advanced Micro Devices, Kimberly Clark Asia, Dell Computer, Microsoft, Television Corporation of Singapore, Siemens Medical, American Express and others.

    Fook Loy graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He is certified as a Master Trainer and Consultant for High Performance Work Organization with Productivity Development System Inc, Florida, USA.
