Soma Ariyaka

Soma is a highly experienced business improvement consultant with broad expertise in such areas as strategic alignment, team building, Lean Six Sigma deployment and change execution methods including Lean and DMAIC.


Soma is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt from Delphi Automotive, where he began his career in Process Engineering. His last appointment at Delphi was Plant Deployment Champion and Regional Black Belt for Production Control and Logistics.  In his role, he was actively involved in conducting Lean Six Sigma training and has coached and mentored over 50 projects in various business processes from HR, finance, engineering, manufacturing, logistics and warehousing. He subsequently moved to Perfetti Van Melle, where he initiated and led the Six Sigma and Lean Implementation effort. Based in Jakarta, Soma today is lead consultant for Pivotal’s engagements in Indonesia with such clients as adidas and BNI (3rd largest bank in Indonesia).  He also works with other clients in Asia and the Middle East including Gulf Bank (Kuwait) and Cisco Systems.  He is fluent in English and Bahasa (Indonesia). Soma graduated with First Class honors as a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering from The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia. He also holds a Master Degree in Information Technology from The Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia.

Ng Yeow Meng

Ng Yeow Meng is a Senior Consultant with global cross-functional experience in Business Process Improvement, Information Management, Software Development and Web Technology Services.


He is a PMI certified Project Management Professional with 14+ years of hands on IT project execution worldwide, 12+ years of Six Sigma & Lean project execution and 10+ years Six Sigma training and coaching experience, using both English and Chinese language. Yeow Meng spent his early career years with General Electric where he worked in technology and project leadership roles in various GE businesses spanning GE Aircraft Engines (USA), GE Aviation Services, GE Medical Systems, GE Power Systems and GE Corporate leading initiatives across Asia, USA and Europe. He also worked as a Six Sigma Black Belt leading projects and conducting training. Prior to GE, Yeow Meng’s work experiences included stints with Federal Express developing software applications as well as providing sales and operations support for an outbound travel firm and a market research firm. Yeow Meng’s hands-on project experience spanned across Supply Chain, Operations, Inventory Forecasting and Management, Order Fulfillment, Sales Operations and Management, Finance, Call Centre, and Measurement Dashboards. He covered industries the likes of aviation services, food and beverage, consumer products and software/technology solution providers. His notable accomplishments include implementing processes and systems in Korea, Taiwan, Greater China and Singapore to achieve sales growth and operational excellence in the delivery of consumer products and services; develop sales and marketing processes for an aircraft services company; and improving opportunity and call center service management for technology companies in China. Yeow Meng graduated with Honors from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1998 with Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering. He is proficient in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

He led various financing projects in Indochina, which included the power plant in Lao PDR, cement plant in Vietnam, Hotels in Haiphong and Myanmar, and several debt restructuring deals in Thailand. In 1997 Navee joined GE Thailand as their Business Development Manager. He quickly took on new responsibilities and roles, including Six Sigma Black Belt, Product Commercialization Leader and Supply Chain Management Leader. He was part of a project team that successfully built and launched a manufacturing plant in a record-breaking time of 12 months. It was considered one of the most successful projects for GE. Navee holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from Chulalongkorn University and an MBA from Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration, a joint program of Wharton, Kellogg and Chulalongkorn University.

Takahiro Kurata

Takahiro is a skilled Master Black Belt located in Tokyo, Japan.  With a background in electrical and computer engineering, Takahiro possesses 15 years of microprocessor experience ranging from architecture to circuit design.


Working for the Sony Corporation in Tokyo, Japan, as Senior SOC (System on Chip) Analyst, he was responsible for the logic design of the R4000 processor. His work on the development and testing of the processor resulted in two US patents. Because of his extensive knowledge and expertise he was called to conduct courses within Sony where he lectured on system LSI design. This later led to a career in Six Sigma as a trainer where he was able to apply the methodology to the company’s microprocessor design engineering. Within Sony, Takahiro eventually became a Six Sigma Senior Trainer – the equivalent of Master Black Belt – where he coached over 300 projects in the R&D area. From scratch, he developed Sony’s original DFSS curriculum and trained numerous Black Belts, Green Belts and Champions. His efforts were later recognized with the President Award from Sony LSI Design for his contributions as a Black Belt Trainer. Takahiro holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Ohio University.

Surendra P. Tiwari

Surendra is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and brings over 25 years of experience in consulting and training with a large and diverse group of organizations in India, Europe, Africa, Middle East Asian countries.


He has worked with all levels of organizational personnel, including company and team leaders, team members, process owners, and engineers to develop in-house capability and implement QMS deployment, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, problem solving and management systems. With vast experience in a number of quality and operational improvement methodologies, Surendra has trained and coached over 50 Master Black Belts, 400 Black Belts, 700 Green Belts and 150 Champions in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and he has developed several curricula/ training modules to facilitate the continued education and improvement of his client’s internal capabilities to drive change. Prior to becoming a consultant and joining the Pivotal team, Surendra had 15 years experience leading many business excellence initiatives in the engineering and automotive industries. He holds a Master Degree in Science, Masters in Business Administration, Post Graduate in Computer Applications and Post Graduation in Statistical methods and Applications (SQC & OR) from Indian Statistical Institute. Jackie Lim

Jackie is a seasoned continuous improvement consultant and trainer, building on 17 years in a variety of roles in industry complementing process operations with her Six Sigma knowledge and expertise.


As a Six Sigma Black Belt with GE for eight years, Jackie delivered training for Six Sigma, Change Acceptance Process (CAP) and Facilitation Workshops. Jackie mentored at least 100 Green Belts across Asia Pacific in process improvement, cost out and revenue growth initiatives spanning multiple functions in Sales Operation, Supply Chain Management, Sourcing, Field Engineering and Finance. After GE, Jackie spent 9 years as a Business Operations Manager, first with Sun Microsystems for 6 years, then with IBM Global Business for another 3 years. The business operations role placed Jackie in a unique position to leverage her process improvement and analytical skills to effectively drive progress in the business KPIs she managed. Jackie brought Lean Six Sigma to a broad-spectrum of processes, from front line sales to bottom line profitability, including demand generation, customer account planning, pipeline-forecasting management, channel distribution management, sales resource allocation, commission compensation, ERP-deployment readiness, business intelligence data-mart implementation and margin improvement. Jackie is well versed in the English and Malay language. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours Second Upper with Dean’s List). She also graduated from GE’s prestigious Financial Management Program (FMP).

Yoong Fook Loy

Fook Loy spent nearly 12 years at General Electric holding various positions in Operations, Human Resources Development and Six Sigma. His was Corporate Leadership Program Manger for Asia with GE Corporate, overseeing talent development in numerous GE Leadership Programs before moving into the area of Lean Six Sigma Consulting in 2002.  As a Corporate Leadership Program Manager, Fook Loy was involved in nurturing and mentoring over 200+ leaders in Asia, being very involved in training and coaching these leaders in their Six Sigma projects. In the past 10 years as a consultant, Fook Loy was led engagements for such diverse clients as Air Products, adidas, Continental Automotive, National Health Group Singapore, Singapore Airlines, and OCBC Bank.  His background enables him to link practical, front-line improvement efforts to larger-scale organization transformation and culture change.   He is also an adjunct Lecturer with Nanyang Technological University, supporting the Centre for Continuing Education programs. Fook Loy graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He is a Master Black Belt and a Master Trainer and Consultant for High Performance Work Organization.
