Lean Six Sigma Certification

CIBullet Green Belt and Black Belt Certification

Certification recognizes employees who have successfully learned and applied their new Six Sigma skills to strengthen performance as leaders and managers within the company. This defining moment is a mark of excellence, indicating their knowledge and mastery of Lean Six Sigma principles where they have proven their ability to:

  • Demonstrate understanding of Lean Six Sigma concepts
  • Effectively scope and define a problem and goal
  • Ensure accurate, valid measurement system
  • Use data to determine root causes and make improvement decisions
  • Successfully transition the solution to the Process Owner
  • Manage teamwork and organizational change

The Pivotal Resources Certification Program is taken from years of working with companies worldwide who have successfully applied Lean Six Sigma to their business processes. Our requirements are based on best practices within the improvement field, consisting of a systematic approach designed to effectively identify participant capabilities compared to relevant measures. The program is criteria-based, allowing it to be tailored to unique company standards. Certified Black Belt & Green Belt candidates must have a thorough understanding of DMAIC concepts, and must be able to apply the tools to practical business projects.

 

Certified Green Belt Requirements:

» Core Skills Online Exam
Closed-book exam, covering the basic concepts and tools of DMAIC. Passing score of 70% or above on each section of the Exam.

» Successful Project Completion and Review
The candidate will submit a storyboard for their completed project.  An evaluator will conduct an oral project review, during which the candidate will answer questions about project activities and results.

 

Certified Black Belt Requirements:

» Core Skills Online Exam
Closed-book exam, covering the basic concepts and tools of DMAIC.
Passing score of 70% or above on each section of the Exam.

» Advanced Skills Online Exam
Open-book exam that requires statistical software (e.g., Minitab) to solve case example questions and demonstrate knowledge of DMAIC advanced tools. Passing score of 70% or above on each section of the Exam.

» Successful Project Completion and Review
The candidate will submit a storyboard for their completed project.  An evaluator will conduct an oral project review, during which the candidate will answer questions about project activities and results. 

Candidates must demonstrate their skills in applying DMAIC to practical business issues. As such, it is expected that they successfully complete at least one DMAIC improvement projects.
